About Me

Amy Hackett

I treat clients for anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and EMDR. I treat children, adults, and couples.

I studied mental health counseling at Saint Bonaventure University for graduate school. Through NYS, I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC).

We are living so we are changing and therapy is about changing in a healthy way; learning to live life in a healthy way. We are spirit, soul, and body, so including spirituality, or a faith-based element, in treatment is to see the whole picture.

I enjoy hiking, kayaking, and yoga.

I’ve lived, worked, and studied in Germany and traveled to several European nations and to many states in the US. I am on the missions awareness team at the church I attend and have been on short-term missions trips to Haiti and Kenya.

Galations 6:9 :Do not grow weary in doing good for in due time you will reap a harvest if you do not give up. “Never, never, never give up.” – Winston Churchill
